I never thought id end up doing this but what the heck..here it goes!..I just got back from touring with an amazing band called Pipeline..Dermot Hyde and Tom Hake. We started out in Bellows Falls VT at a cosy little restaurant called Bocelli’s organized by Miamon and Louise..who also provided lodging at their 17th century farmhouse up in the mountains..along with plenty of wine and the most delicious blueberries from their garden!..Next stop was the Skye theatre in Dixfield ME with Phil McIntyre..another wonderful concert venue which was just completed by Phil last April..they also provide lodging AND a place to do laundry..which is the best gift anyone could give you when on the road touring!..Following ME we headed off to MI where we performed at the community theatre on Beaver Island..for anyone who hasn’t made it out there yet..DO!..it’s absolutely breathtakingly beautiful and again our hosts Joddy and Beth along with Anne Partridge were the most hospitable people ive met on the road. From there we headed down to Traverse City where we performed our last show in MI and ended up having a great night afterwards at out hosts and organizers house Seamus and Jackie Shinners..or ma and pa Shinners as I like to refer to them!..again couldn’t have treated us any better..And last but not least..Milwaukee Irish fest!..which was a blast..with the exception of a four hour delay in Chicago!..THAT I could have done without..but all in all we had a great time on the road..Dermot Hyde had me in stitches..one of the funniest people ive ever met..and Tom is a dote and has also got a great sense of humor..Sad to see them go but I look forward to our next adventure on the road!..id like to thank everyone involved in organizing this tour and for helping to make it such a success..we’ll be back..so leave a light on!…Aoife
